Grahame Park is a high-density 1960s housing estate in Barnet, North London. A team has been assembled to put forward proposals for the regeneration of the estate and the wider surrounding area.
Joint masterplanners PTEa and Levitt Bernstein have identified a number of key issues that need to be addressed: the location is poorly served by local transport, there is a lack of facilities for young people and the estate has a negative identity.
The masterplan, which is being evolved with a wide range of stakeholders, will include over 2,500 new homes and comprehensive amenities and facilities; a local park, library, shops and schools. It is due to be completed in 2015.
