This is a visionary proposal for the transformation of Deptford Town Centre which will provide high quality public spaces and community facilities, together with studios for small businesses and 250 new homes.
At the heart of the regeneration will be the Deptford Lounge, a state-of the art public library which will form the third wing of a new building for Tidemill School. The Lounge and School will feature an innovative co-location of community and school facilities, sharing a children’s library, a ballcourt and general community space. The Lounge and Tidemill School will connect with Giffin Square, a new public space which we are creating at the heart of Deptford.
The far wing of the school on Resolution Way will consist of a five-storey building which will house artists’ studios and exhibition space at ground level with duplex and triplex apartments above looking out over Deptford.
