PTEa were taken on by client Fusion Lifestyle to design this £2.5m refurbishment and extension of the well-known Grade II listed 1930s lido, also known as ‘Brixton Beach’. The project involved extensive consultation with English Heritage and local interest groups.

PTEa’s proposal doubled the width of the south wing giving space for more indoor activities, such as yoga, a sauna, kids club, a gym and crèche which can generate income throughout the year and thus cross-subsidise the outdoor pool. The café was refurbished and reopened.
