This mixed use development on Fulham Road in West London for the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea replaces an existing elderly people’s residential home with a new day centre comprising a 65-bed dementia care and nursing home.

The residential home is the product of a barter deal which has enabled a first class facility to be designed and built without recourse to public funding.

The home is arranged round a central garden, which offers safe and private space screened from neighbouring conservation area properties and a service road to the nearby hospital.
