Rushey Green School enjoys a large green site in a residential conservation area. PTEa has designed a new school that improves teaching space, creates new facilities for joint use by the school and wider community and exploits the potential of the school’s green site with capital raised from the construction and sale of 24 apartments.
A long, curved wall - The Learning Curve - guides the visitor into the site and on into the double height main entrance of the school building. The hall is over-sailed by a green roof terminating in an open-air grass amphitheatre.
We have also provided a graphics package for the school including the development of a new identity, wall graphics and signage.
